Lockdown is making us miss the little things in life, like grabbing a Maccies when we're driving home from work.

Well, it seems a flock of sheep feel our pain because they've been spotted outside a closed McDonald's restaurant in Ebbw Vale, Wales.

Andrew Thomas snapped the sheep, who look like they're waiting for the fast food restaurant to reopen.

He said: "I was shopping for my mother and elderly neighbour at Aldi, next door, when I saw the sheep.

"Thought I'd share, as everyone on social media has been saying how they are craving a McDonald's. So I made a joke of it and it seems to have gone viral."

Since posting the picture on to social media it has received over 2,400 shares and has nearly 700 reactions from people who have sympathy for the flock.

One person joked: "The new recipe when it opens up. Minted lamb burgers." While another person added: "My spirit animal right there."

Tagging their friends, a third person - who was clearly craving a Maccies themselves - commented: "Not just us."

Across the country, animals have been venturing into towns which have become deserted due to the coronavirus lockdown.

At the end of March, footage of goats causing havoc in Llandudno, Wales, was posted on Twitter, with the police having to get involved.

The bizarre clips were shared by journalist Andrew Stuart, who spotted the animals roaming the streets, jumping on walls, munching on hedges, and even making it onto people's roofs.

Posting his initial video of the goats running through the empty streets, Andrew wrote: "I think I just got a group of goats in Llandudno arrested. Let me explain... first, I saw this [a flock of goats] from inside a dark pub (the one I live in currently). I thought I was seeing things.

"So I decided to see what was going on. They stopped on Trinity Square, and decided the hedges there looked very tasty (tbf, they probably are if you're a goat.)

"They weren't moving from their midnight feast. And they were probably going to run riot on the town, what with nobody being about due to the lockdown. I also wasn't sure if they were keeping the required 2m apart."
