It was pain for a man in Florida after he hopped a fence to rile up some jaguars, but it was a gain for the rest of us

After a Florida man was attacked by a jaguar when he stuck his arm into a zoo enclosure, a kid near the scene gave a truly memorable interview. Watch below:

Last week, employees at Jacksonville Zoo, Florida witnessed a man jump over a gate at the 'Range of the Jaguar' exhibit and opt to stick his hand into a cage that happened to house just such a wildcat.

Jaguars are known to bite directly through the skull of their pray between the ears to deliver a fatal blow to the brain, but either this man hadn't done his research before his act, or just had a a death wish.

Prior to jumping the barrier, he'd been seen riling the jaguars up getting them whipped up into a frenzy. That of course didn't end well, with one of them not taking too kindly to a stranger giving it grief in its environment and deciding to swipe a claw at him.

The man, who was described as in his 20s, was taken to the hospital with thankfully non-life-threatening injuries.

He did leave a pool of blood behind however.

The incident had been reported by News 4 Jax and in their report they spoke to the Gama family, who were also at the zoo.

Step forward young Anthony Gama who - after his mum said they saw the pool of blood on the concrete floor - took over.

He said: "I want to follow the trail of blood and I want to see if we can find this guy because I was wondering if he got bit up here, down here... or if he literally just got his whole arm ripped off."

His sister and parents stood behind him, with his mum pulling that classic parents face torn between wanting to tell their kid to behave but also finding what they're saying hilarious.

Which they should do, because it was.

Who can blame Anthony either?

You see a trail of blood of course you're going to want to follow it.

All jokes aside, if you want to see how vicious a jaguar you can be, you should check out this footage from Brazil in 2018.

Danielle Hunter, 21, a student from the university of Michigan, alongside her brother Edward, and Eduard Sangster from the Netherlands took the footage which shows the big cat feuding with a caiman in the Corixo Negro River in Pantanal, Brazil.

You'd have thought given the river-based setting for the fight that the caiman would come out on top, but it appears the jaguar actually got the better of things.

So Florida Man can count himself very lucky indeed.
