A doting dog owner has made his beloved pet her very own Iron Throne and if these photos don't bring joy into your ice cold heart then I think there's no hope for you.

As well as being pretty bloody adorable, the chair is actually essential for little Shorty, as she suffers with a condition called mega esophagus, which means she has to eat sitting up.

The poorly pooch's owners Hilary and Joey decided that a regular seat - known as a bailey chair - wouldn't be good enough for little Shortly so Joey set about creating the impressive throne.

Hilary, from Oklahoma, told LADbible: "Everyone thinks it cute that a dog is sitting in a chair to eat, but when they understand that the chair serves a purpose, I think they have a better appreciation for it.

"The fact that it looks like the Iron Throne just gives it a 'cool factor'." You're not wrong there, Hilary.

The chair took Joey around eight hours to make and, as you can probably see from the photos, Shorty is more than happy to chill in it while she chows down.

"We put Shorty in the chair during the building stage and she did not like sitting on the bare wood," Hilary explained. "But once the chair was completed with the interior padding, she took to it rather well."

What? Doesn't every owner get a portrait made of their dog?

Hilary's brother Dylan, who initially shared the photos on Reddit, added: "Unfortunately, Shorty is suffering from a combination of ailments related to her advanced age, she'll be 14 in November.

"My mother read the A Song of Ice and Fire books before the Game of Thrones series begun and convinced me to read the books after season one.

"We've been super fans ever since and eventually got my sister and her family hooked on the story. Once she sent me the pictures of Shorty on her throne I immediately wanted to share them.

Just when you thought she couldn't get any cuter.

"It's heartbreaking to know Shorty is getting old, but it warms my heart to know they're putting so much effort into keeping her as comfortable as possible. She has the soul of a Direwolf."

Ahh, I'm welling up here. Enjoy your seat, Shorty.
