Property Owner Cops Noise Complaint From Neighbour About Cows Mooing Too Loud

This is udderly ridiculous.

Being in nature can be a really relaxing experience: sitting in the bush, forest, desert or beach and just soaking up all the sights and sounds to be had.

Whether it's beautiful silence or loud cries from the animals close to you, nature can be a great place to jud. While some people find that amazing, others think it's annoying and will go at some weird lengths to stop nature doing its thing.

A property owner in Queensland has been served a noise complaint from the Gold Coast City Council because the cows on their property are mooing too much and too loudly.

Georgie Grant has posted a photo of the complaint onto local Facebook community group, writing: "One of my lovely neighbours filed a complaint to Council about my cow mooing!

"I am on acreage at the back of Bonogin 8 acres. How do you stop a cow from mooing any tips would be appreciated?"

The noise complaint is a hilarious read in itself.

Georgie has been warned that the 'livestock are causing excessive noise during the night and day'. Like, let's be honest, a dog barking all night in the flat next door is annoying, but a cow intermittently mooing is a stretch.

Apparently, the issue has been going on for three months and Georgie has been told to monitor the situation and 'take appropriate actions' to ensure it doesn't continue.

Not going to lie, but pretty sure the only thing you can do to make a cow stop mooing is by making it into a nice meal.

The Gold Coast Hinterland is a big sprawling space that apparently can't enjoy the sounds of mooing.

Georgie has been warned that there are 'legal repercussions' for not addressing a noise complaint if there are more problems down the line. Imagine getting fined because a goddamn cow on an eight-acre property was making its natural noise.

People who have seen the social media post have been quick to slam the complainant and the council for following up with the issue.

"Send a reply back saying the cow will be put down late next week...watch them back track," wrote one person.

"Absurd complaint. You live on acreage. Wouldn't you expect to have livestock around?" said another.

A third added: "Oh please. I would love to hear your cow mooing. I love cows. Some people just complain."

A spokesperson for the council has told the Courier Mail: "Should complaints continue, an officer will visit the address and assess the levels of noise, taking into consideration the location and activities in the surrounding area," a spokesman said.

"At this time we do not expect any further action to be taken."
