A stag do stumbled across a litter of abandoned puppies after their mother was drawn to the bacon they were cooking.
Originally from Vicksburg, Michigan, the group of eight men travelled to Tennessee to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Mitchel Craddock in a hired cabin.
As they rustled up some bacon, they opened the door to let the glorious smell out into the wilderness. It caught the attention of a severely malnourished dog, who decided to chance it by coming to stand at the door.

Craddock told ABC: "We were cooking bacon with the door open. The next thing you know, there's this dog sitting right at the front door.
"She wouldn't come inside but she sat right there.
"After we gave her a bunch of food and water she started producing milk again. So we figured if she's making milk, her pups can't be that old."

They decided to follow her to see if her puppies were okay. They found seven puppies in a hole in the woods covered in dirt and fleas.

After bringing the whole family back to the cabin and washing them, they even used the last of their beer money to buy dog food.
Now, all of the dogs, including the mother, have been adopted by the men. They all live within a five-mile radius of each-other.

Happy ending all round.
