A flight attendant saved a girl's life after she became suspicious of her travelling partner.

Sheila Fedrick was working on an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to San Francisco when she noticed a young girl with 'greasy blonde hair' who looked like 'she had been through pure hell' sat next to a 'well-dressed older man', reports the Mail Online.

She approached the pair and noticed that the girl was refusing to make eye-contact or speak to her. This clearly set off alarm bells, especially as the man kept interrupting and becoming defensive.

Speaking to WTSP, Fedrick explained: "Something in the back of my mind said something is not right,

"He was well dressed, that's what kind of got me because why is he well dressed and she is looking disheveled and out of sorts."

Under her breath, she managed to tell the girl to go to the bathroom where she had left a note stuck to the mirror.

She added: "She wrote back on the note, she wrote on the note she needed help."

Fedrick immediately went to the pilot to explain the situation, who then contacted the police. When the flight touched down, the police were waiting. She said: "I've been a flight attendant for ten years and it's like I am going all the way back to when I was in training.

"And I was like, I could have seen these young girls and young boys and didn't even know. If you see something, say something."

As it turns out, the young girl is thought to have been a victim of human trafficking. Fedrick managed to stay in contact with the girl who is apparently now attending university.

Amazing.

Another Note That Made An Impact

A waitress who was left a racist note by a customer had an overwhelming response after the note was posted online.

Kelly Carter, who works at Anita's New Mexicso Style Café in the US, says she served two customers who she believed to be in their mid-20s. They asked for the bill for their meal and paid, but once they left she saw that they had written: "Great service don't tip black people."

A picture of the receipt was posted by Loudoun Couty NAACP on Twitter and has been shared hundreds of times, but it's the response from the local community that has been the most overwhelming.

The owner of the restaurant, Tommy Tellex, told the BBC that the response from regular customers and the rest of the community had been "phenomenal."

A crowd-funding account has raised over $2,828 (£2,325), smashing the original target of $2000; and others have been popping into the restaurant to give her cash.

Kelly told local media that she would happily serve the couple again, who she says complimented her on the breakfast she served them. She said: "One hateful remark cannot stop me.

"My arms are still opened to me. He only hurt himself. He only makes me stronger."

She insisted to that she really would like to see the couple again, saying: "Just me serving them will let them know they did not get the best of me. And I truly mean that."

What a genuine person.
