Coldplay Pauses Concert Of 50,000 People To Let Fan Propose To Girlfriend

In a move that's guaranteed to lead to thousands more requests, Chris Martin allowed a lovestruck fan to propose to his missus in front of 50,000 people.

Before you say it's cheesy, it's much better than the inevitable #LuckyGirl #MyFianceIsBetterThanYours #Spoilt posts we're going to be inundated with on Christmas Day - at least this is slightly more imaginative.

Half way through singing 'A Sky Full Of Stars', Chris Martin called up Lonardo Tanno, 31, at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

He brought up his girlfriend, Felicia Lie, 26, and proposed.

As tears ran down his face, Lonardo said: "So for the past three years, thank you for your love.

"Thank you for giving me a chance.

"So in the midst of Coldplay, my new best friend Chris, and all the people here in Melbourne. I just want to say I love you. 'Will you marry me?'."

Luckily, she said yes and it was smiles all round.

And then his tears fell like a waterfall, and they lived the rest of their lives in a happy paradise in a bright, yellow glow.
