This summer has been amazing: the World Cup, wall-to-wall sunshine and, as a result, plenty of BBQs and day drinking in beer gardens.

The perfect conditions for Strongbow Dark Fruit, then.

Strongbow is basically everyone's favourite drink - more so than ever in this heatwave of a summer.

There's even a wave of super-fans that are doing amazing things to express their love for the drink. From turning it into tasty ice cream, baking unbelievable Dark Fruit birthday cakes, to even getting themselves some epic Dark Fruit tattoos.

Now Strongbow Dark Fruit are offering an epic opportunity for its most die-hard fans by opening its own tattoo studio in London on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th August.

Think of it as Strongbow's way of saying thanks to everyone who got a Dark Fruit tattoo by taking matters into its own hands.

The cider has kitted out a tattoo studio in East London, hired celebrity tattoo artist Alice Perrin and designed its own bespoke tattoos for the most commited fans to get for free - all you have to do is register and then show up for your free ink.

Options come in two sizes, a large one which will be inked by Alice Perrin personally and a smaller piece tattooed by her mates.

What's more, Strongbow is throwing a Dark Fruit-themed party over the road to celebrate its legions of fans (no tattoo necessary!).

One of the LADs that popularised the Dark Fruit tatts is Alfie Smeaton, and he'll be on hand to congratulate those who join him in their dedication to the king of ciders.

Alfie, who got a full sized can inked on his thigh, and tattooist Alice met up at her studio in Hereford (the birthplace of Strongbow Dark Fruit!), where they met us to design the tattoos that will be on offer.

"I do like a can of Dark Fruit and all my friends are into it, we've been drinking it for years," said Alice. "I was born and raised in Hereford, which is famous for cider, so naturally I'm a massive fan. You can't beat a cold Dark Fruit cider in a pub garden in the summer.

As for the designs, Alice can't wait to get going.

"I'm always intrigued by the inspiration behind people's tattoos and curious about superfan cultures," she said.

"Having met Alfie, I've now got a sense of how passionate the superfans are - I know the people getting them will be genuinely excited about the designs I've created with Alfie, who has to be one of the biggest Strongbow Dark Fruit fans in the country."

"I hope the superfans embrace the designs I've created after meeting Alfie, and I'm looking forward to seeing them at the studio in London."

Alice can't wait. Alfie can't wait. We can't wait.
