Bruce Wayne, eat your heart out!

Yesterday, we told you about the lad who built an incredible man cave without the permission of his wife.

Because of this, we thought it only right to share the nerdier version of that story with you today.

This is 46-year-old Darren Wilson. He's spent more than two decades collecting Batman comics and memorabilia to fill out his very own Batcave.

Darren spent 18 months turning his spare room into the Batcave. He even fashioned stalactites out of papier mâché. He topped it off with six different shades of grey paint to make it as close to Bruce Wayne's own Batcave as possible.

"I was doing the room as a computer room initially and it just came to me. It's one of those things you have to see to believe, people say it's incredible," he said.

Darren's home in Calne, Wiltshire, has become a talking point for locals after he spent almost a year applying two layers of paper mache to create the awesome granite effect. There's even a mock pipe installed through the middle of the third bedroom, just like Bruce Wayne's.

Incredibly, the massive transformation of the room only cost £100 but the contents of the room total closer to £15,000.

The Batman enthusiast has been a huge fan since the 1989 film came out and has 15 full boxes of DC Comics. He also has a limited edition watch and two comics signed by Batman creator Bob Kane.

Luckily for Darren, his wife Catherine actually quite likes the room and is happy to use it as the computer room, despite her husband's hobby being plastered all over the walls.
"It was partly her idea. But I have promised I won't decorate any more rooms."

Probably for the best Darren. Too much of a good thing and all that.
