Man Live Tweets Waitresses Declaration of Love in Brooklyn Café, Gets Free Muffin

Welcome to 2016.

Jerry was enjoying a cup of coffee in an empty café in Brooklyn when the waitress told her co-server that she had a big crush on him.

What did Jerry do? Quickly down his hot beverage and hot-foot it out the door to leave the two alone and give them some privacy?

Nope! Jerry thinks the best thing to do is to LIVE TWEET THE WHOLE THING! THANK YOU JERRY.

At first, the waiter is shocked and says he needs to go and have a think about it, leaving the poor waitress in limbo.

It looks bad - surely if he felt the same way he would have declared that he had feelings for her straight away? We're all worried for café girl who put her feelings out there and looks like the rest of the shift and her life is gonna be embarrassing. Luckily for us, Jerry is casually sipping his coffee and waiting for the whole thing to unfold.

Keeping us on tenterhooks, Jerry casually tells us that he wants a refill and goes up and gets another coffee. He clearly thinks that this is going south - fast.

But then the guy reappeared and admitted he had a crush on her too! Then they asked Jerry if they could disappear for a while. Oi oi!

After "a while" the two love birds reappeared, holding hands, smiling and sneaking kisses.

The waitress brought Jerry a muffin for "dealing with them" and he was over the moon; I mean who wouldn't be, a free muffin and the chance to see young love blossom? I wonder what type of muffin it was? Probably the priority of the story to be honest.

And here's the live tweet in full. And a bit extra from top banter merchant Paddy Owen.
