There’s A Treehouse AirBnB That Will Make You Want to Book a Holiday Instantly

It comes with a dartboard and is available in Georgia in the USA

Georgia is a lovely, lovely place. I'm not talking about the European country that Wales narrowly beat - jammilly, in the opinion of this embittered Irish writer in the World Cup qualifiers last week, but Georgia, a southern state in the good old (not that old) United States of America.

In 2017, AirBnB is all the rage; people are absolutely mad for it. It's like staying in a B&B, but instead of an elderly couple who cook you breakfast and give you funny looks because your hair's a bit weird and your T-shirt is scruffy, you book it online, making it immediately super cool.

And now it's gone Über Cool in Atlanta, the Georgian state capital. Why? Because some genius has gone and built a back garden AirBnB treehouse, which was always going to be a good way of bringing the punters in and is much better than your standard four walls and bed vibe - the traditional way to enjoy some sleepy time.

A treehouse-style getaway, the Georgia AirBnB is made up of three areas named Mind, Body and Soul. You would think the areas are designed to soothe the mind, body and soul, but they're actually named in honour of esteemed US senators Geoff Body, Phil Mind and Timothy 'de la' Soul. That's a lie.

I've had a gander at the pics and, having originally thought the place looked like an Ewok's idea of a dirty weekend away, I can see it appears to be a much more wholesome getaway (Ewoks are filth).

As a result, the treehouse has jumped to the top of page visitors' Wishlists, a list of places people wish to stay in. What makes that all the more impressive is that the listing beat a number of more 'luxurious' properties to top the list, including private islands littered with litters of puppies and this little beauty in Bolton. Sure, I could probably have found a better example of luxury there, but I wanted to give Mike from Bolton a little AirBnB love there (not Ewok style).

Owner Peter Bahouth, a former executive director at environmental organisation Greenpeace, said he was unsure at first about whether the project was a good idea, telling Today.com: "I didn't really know how I would feel about having people stay out here... But I began to realize that people were having these amazing, great experiences and it was meaningful (to them), and it therefore became meaningful for me."

After inviting people to stay at his place, he's been overwhelmed by the enjoyment, peace and quiet that guests have been enjoying (the accommodation is max two people [not two Ewoks] per night) since he opened it to the public.

Officially known as Secluded Intown Treehouse, the inner-city stay has rocketed in popularity since first appearing on the site, and is now fully booked until May next year with human guests, and not one sordid, filthy little Ewok.
