Kendall Jenner has responded on Twitter after some people compared themselves to her unfavourably upon seeing a shoot that she did for an underwear company.

There's one particular shot in the set that shows Jenner wearing a particularly small amount of clothing that triggered a lot of people to share their insecurities and misgivings about their own body image on social media.

The photo, from the SKIMS Valentine's collection, has been shared far and wide, and received the kind of response that only a member of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars can create.

It's been massive, basically.

One such response read: "Idk who needs to hear this but stop comparing yourself to Kendall Jenner- she has money, surgery, lighting, photographers, editors, nutritionists, personal trainers, makeup artists etc. You have an iPhone camera. She looks unreal but that's her job."

Another said: "sigh, girls you don't have to look like Kendall Jenner to be beautiful + not everything you see on social media is real because even she's had work done. She definitely is beautiful but so are you too so pls eat."

Some have also accused Jenner of having her photographs edited and doctored to provide an even more unrealistic image.

One such critic said: "Just a reminder that the picture of Kendall is heavily photoshopped and the reason it's making you feel s*** is because you've never seen a real person who looks like that in your life."

It seems as if Jenner herself agrees that you shouldn't take the pictures too seriously.

She posted a response on Twitter that said: "I am an extremely lucky girl. Appreciative of all that I have.

"But I want you to know I have bad days too and that I hear you! You are beautiful just the way you are!!! it's not always as perfect as it may seem."

In short, she wants you to know that you shouldn't use an opinion you have of someone else to affect your own opinion of yourself, which is kinda great advice, when you think about it.

Another Twitter user summed it up pretty well, writing: "Making me so sad seeing people compare themselves to Kendall Jenner's latest pics.

"We are all worthy of self-love no matter what we look like, got to treat yourself [with] the same kindness because our minds can be so unkind sometimes."
