Best Man Punished With Tattoo After Buying Ticket For 2020 Flight To Budapest For Stag Do

Best Man Punished With Tattoo After Buying Ticket For 2020 Flight To Budapest For Stag Do

Ordinarily on a stag do, it is the groom who is relentlessly persecuted by the rest of the party.

But the best man is responsible for ensuring the occasion all goes smoothly, and if they cock it up they can very easily end up in the line of fire too - as one poor bloke from Kent recently found out.

Grant Ogles was tasked with ensuring groom Chris Bonner and the rest of his 14 strong party had a stag do to remember in Budapest, but he fell down at the first hurdle, accidentally booking Lee Whitehead a seat on board a flight to the Hungarian capital next summer.

Rightfully unwilling to leave a man behind, the party had to fork out more than £500 ($600) to get Lee a ticket. However, just as it would have been wrong to leave Lee behind, it would also have been wrong to let the worst best man get away with the blunder - and they did not.

As punishment, Grant was taken to a tattoo parlour where he was inked with the date, flight number, cost of the ticket and the Hungarian flag in the small of his back (aka, a 'tramp stamp').

As if this wasn't bad enough, the tattoo isn't even accurate.

Speaking to LADbible, groomsman Niall MacMillan said: "The price for the flight was the incorrect price. The father of the bride - who paid for it with his credit card - guessed when giving the amount for the design. Which tops it all off wonderfully."

And the rest of the party were only more of a pain in the arse/lower back to the best man as the do progressed.

Niall said: "Later on in the evening of him getting the tattoo, someone was bet 20,000 Hungarian Forint (£55) to kick him in the tattoo, to which someone did kick him perfectly and it all got too much for the best man and he stormed off for three hours on the first night.

"When trying to calm him down he shouted, 'I'm fed up of you all making a spectacle of me!'"

The do wasn't much better for Lee either, who perhaps should have taken his botched flight booking as a sign that Budapest wasn't the place for him.

Niall said: "Lee had an awful trip, this little event was the start of it and he hates Hungary: cheese in his chicken burger (for some reason this upset him), belittled by a waitress to the point he stormed off in a huff, was crying in a strip club awkwardly - doubt he will be going back."

As for Grant's back, it is just one of many ill-advised tattoos he has, in what he describes as a 'dot to dot of s*** decision'. The rest of his constellation of mistakes is comprised of a kangaroo on his hip, the name of a friend he lost fantasy football to, a picture of wrestler Daniel Bryan's face on his arm and, of course, a camel on his toe.

In hindsight then, Grant probably wasn't the best choice of best man.

Niall said: "He struggles with life massively. A constant burden and probably the worst person to be given any sort of responsibility."

Here's hoping Chris's choice of wife was wiser.
