After what must have been an exhausting and draining day for Thomas Cook staff, your faith in humanity is about to be restored slightly.

Amid stories of huge bonuses taken home by some of the bosses of the liquidated airline, the real victims are customers who've saved up for their holidays and loyal employees who have dedicated years of their lives to the job they loved.

But, as usual, in times of need, people have come through for those less fortunate than them and the outpouring of kindness for those affected by the collapse of the famous holiday operator has been huge.

From big brands to independent companies and individuals, people have been offering all sorts on Twitter to try and make the next few weeks easier on people who have lost their livelihoods and savings.

Taxi companies across the world have been offering free rides to people who have been affected by the company going bust:

Sports clubs have offered free tickets:

People have been offering up services like hair cuts, meals and CV writing for free:

Passengers on the final Thomas Cook flights today (23 September) have also done their best to support staff, organising a whip round for crew members who had just learnt they'd lost their jobs.

One passenger on a flight back from Vegas claims they managed to get together £5,000 ($6,200) to give to crew members.
