Man Pranks Neighbour Into Thinking England Were 2-0 Up, Neighbour Dives In Pool To Celebrate

This is the moment a guy pranked his neighbour into thinking England went 2-0 up in the team's first game yesterday:

When James Hollman and his family realised that their neighbours had a 20 second delay on the game they decided to wait until the very last moment to celebrate a late goal which would have taken England 2-0 up.

The clip shows 36-year-old James do a quiet countdown before bursting into celebrations and running down the garden shouting: "YAAAAAA TWO NIL, TWO NIL, TWO NILL." He then jumped into a paddling pool as his neighbour watched on.

Tom Goodliffe - who is actually the neighbour's daughter's boyfriend but 'neighbour' is easier - looked over at James as he started to make a racket.

Tom looks like he runs around to the TV but doesn't have time to wait for the goal before scaling the fence and launching himself into the paddling pool.

At that very moment James explains that they've not scored... unlucky Tom.

Speaking to LADbible James, an electrician from Stamford, Lincolnshire, explained: "We both play golf, we play darts, we play a bit of darts and that together and have a bit of a drink together. They're absolutely cracking neighbours to be honest, they're more like friends now really.

"Because we knew the TV was 20 seconds ahead, we waited for the full time to come, did a bit of a countdown and then I obviously went off running and he fell for it hook line and sinker.

"He was straight in, he was straight over the fence, straight in the pool. It was bloody hilarious."

James explained how the idea was his and his girlfriend's, Verity Woodman who was filming the prank on her phone.

Rather unsurprisingly, it seems that Tom should start sleeping with one eye open because James now has more planned.

He went on to add: "This is the first one [prank], but I'll tell you what, I'm going to be thinking of some more now.

"It was coming towards the end of the game and we were like 'we've got to do it'. Then we just waited until the final whistle and thankfully, he fell for it.

"I just wish we filmed his face when he got back out of the pool because when he realised he'd been done his face was hilarious."
