Here's a new yardstick to measure your efforts by - one man in China has truly shown his dedication.
In order to save his girlfriend's tired feet, he donned her pink high heels while she happily relaxed in his sandals.

Over 10,000 people have commented on the viral snaps from Chongqing Municipality's Shapingba District in south-western China, with the number of Facebook likes stretching to over 25,000.
The photos, taken in a waiting room of the Xinqiao Hospital, show the man standing behind his girlfriend with a pair of pink heels on, while she sits with dark sandals on her own feet.
The woman who took the photos, surname Xie, suggested that there might be something more to the story than first appears.

Xie said: "The high heels were pink, so it was very obvious when I saw the man wearing them.
"She did offer to swap their shoes again, but he refused. I found that really, really sweet."
Xie's friend later took the photos home to show her boyfriend and thus 'educate him'.
Further credit should be given to the man for mastering the balance and posture needed to wear heels - something that very few men have ever mastered.

It may have been an option for Ed Sheeran after the 2017 BRIT Awards, but the chart-topping singer-songwriter politely declined and chose to walk in just his socks.
Leading his girlfriend, Chery Seaborn, out of the venue, it became clear that her footwear was too much for her (she later claimed her shoe had suffered a broken heel), and Ed had very kindly offered his shoes for the trip to the car.
Wearing just his socks, Ed escorted Seaborn outside with the pictures showing her wearing his chunky grey trainers instead.

Ed chose not to wear the $1,995 (£1,485) pair of Christian Louboutin Andaloulou boots, instead opting just to carry them.
What an out-and-out LAD he continues to be.
