Woman Takes On Movember Challenge And Her Photos Are Hilarious

Woman Takes On Movember Challenge And Her Photos Are Hilarious

It's not just for men

When Movember comes round - it's usually mainly the boys who get involved, growing and crafting all types of lovely and, sometimes a bit disturbing, facial hair.

Louise Radl, from Penrith, works for the maintenance department in a holiday village and when all the lads in her work decided to embark on their mission to grow their facial hair, she thought she'd get involved.

Mum of two Louise told LADbible: "I wanted to raise money for it too so I decided on having a fake moustache for the whole 30 days. I just wanted to be able to raise some money for it as some of my colleagues were and didn't see why I couldn't do it too.

"I have a different style one every day, sometimes a stick-on and sometimes drawn on as the adhesive is quite an irritant!"

And Louise has really stuck to her pledge, making sure she is wearing it whenever she goes out.

She said: "I haven't been out the house once without it on, to work, to the shops, to parents' evening."

She's not lying either. Our Lou has sported her moustache to everything she's been to so far this month. That includes a swimming session:

The gym:

And even to a first aid course she attended as part of her job:

It looks like Lou's idea is really paying off. It's less than halfway through the month and she's already nearly reached her target of £500 ($640).

Lou added: "I'm surprised at the reaction of people, I thought more people would laugh but they try not to look or look and look away quickly. I think it makes people feel really awkward and is quite embarrassing!"

You can follow Lou's journey on her JustGiving page where she posts daily updates of where she's been and what she's been up to.

Lou has written on the page: "I would like to join in [for Movember] and raise some money too as it's everyone that's affected by testicular and prostate cancer not just the men, it's their families, friends and colleagues.

"Funds raised during November go towards supporting innovative world-class men's health projects in our key focus areas - prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention."

I think we can all agree that this lady is doing a cracking job.

Lou added: "I hope this brings more awareness to testicular and prostate cancer and men's mental health, if I have to walk around and be embarrassed with a moustache on for 30 days, I'm sure they can be embarrassed for 5 minutes and have their prostate checked!"
