A young lad who was hoping to travel the world as part of his bucket list has tragically died.
Matt Greenwood was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer, but was hoping for around nine more months of life. His friends had recently undertaken a head shaving event in order to raise more for him to go abroad.
Matt, an engineering student at Oxford University, was diagnosed in October. Since then, his family and friends managed to raise thousands of pounds to help him check off his list. Recently, one of his legs had to be amputated. However, he soldiered on.

One of his best friends, Alec John Burns, wrote a touching tribute on Facebook: "The passing of a hero and a dear friend. Matt Greenwood was the kindest, funniest and most spirited person I've ever had the good fortune to meet and I'm glad to have known him. He fought to the very end, and I think that perfectly summed him up.
"My heart goes out to his parents Peter, Michaela Greenwood and Simon. I've never known a stronger and more supportive family, it isn't fair that such good people have experienced such heartache. You will be sorely missed my friend, but you will live on through all of us. I love you buddy." [sic]
