This Advent Calendar Could Be The Perfect Gift For Harry Potter Fans

Everyone loves Harry Potter, right? And we're sure that everyone loves Christmas - Humbugs be damned. And who doesn't like socks? Sandal-wearers?

That must mean that there is a serious crossover out there between Potterheads, sock fans and people in the festive spirit - a Venn diagram circle that would certainly appreciate a Harry Potter themed advent calendar that dispenses socks. Well, guess what - that exists and you can buy it now.

The 12 Days of Socks is on sale for just £12.11 from Target in the United States - which will send them to the UK - and they've proved a massive hit.

They include 12 different Potter-themed socks: there are some with the scarred wizard's face on them, two that feature Hedwig the Owl, some with Quidditch designs (both keeper and seeker are available), as well as Hogwarts, Slytherin, Deathly Hallows and a few well-known phrases from the series: "Mischief Managed", "I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good" and "The Chosen One".

The jury is out on whether you need to wear the socks or simply give them away: you could free two house elves a day throughout December if you were so willing. But then who will clean up the Christmas mess if you do that?

This year has been big on themed advent calendars. There was one that featured different types of gin, another for wine and a third for beer, and for those who didn't want to start the Christmas period with a hangover - let's face it, we'll all be ending the festivities with one - there are seasonal offerings the dispense dog treats, protein bars, beauty products and different types of coffee.

So you can have a happy pup, a buff body, shimmering skin and a buzzy disposition to go with the inevitable crushing headache created by the aforementioned gin calendar.

Harry Potter buffs are not the only ones that can celebrate their fandom this Christmas too: there is a Star Wars version available, as well as a Disney one, a DC comics edition and even a woodland animals set, with bears, badgers and other furry fauna.
