The lead up to Christmas is almost as exciting as the day itself. Depending on where you live, you're can either be comforted by a bit of snow, mulled wine and Christmas markets or blissful sunshine, days at the beach and delicious, fresh food.

But one of the best ways to celebrate the countdown to December 25 is with an advent calendar.

There are plenty of varieties out there: from cheese, chocolate and even protein powder. But Aldi Australia seems to take the cake with their offering.

Introducing the wine advent calendar.

Aldi Australia

Counting down the days to Christmas just got boozier thanks to the low-cost supermarket. Last year, Aldi's calendar sold out incredibly quick, so no doubt you'll have to be extra fast this time round.

Aldi Australia Marketing Director Mark Richardson said: "Christmas is the time of year that Australians want to spoil their families, however there can be a misconception that to get the best quality Christmas feast, presents and experience, you need to spend big."

The item of information that everyone wants to know is when the calendar will go on sale.

Drum roll please...November 13.

It will retail for $79.95 and includes 24 mini bottles of French wine including sparkling, white, rose and red varieties.

It's nearly as good as the calendar that Jack Daniels created last year, which was pretty blood iconic if you ask us.

Jack Daniels

The calendar includes 23 miniatures from across the Jack Daniel's whiskey range, with little bottles ofJack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire, Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack and Jack Daniel's Single Barrel all in there for you to enjoy.

Oh, and window no. 7 (geddit?) also features a special treat in the form of a 5cl Jack Daniel's key ring hip flask, just so you never have to be without your fix this festive season.

Maybe don't take that one into work, though...

It wasn't cheap though at £60 in Asda, but, at the end of the day, it would be totally worth it.
