As soon as the slightest hint of summer strikes, we all really, really love getting on the sesh at a barbecue or in a beer garden - though often our choices remain fairly limited to an ice-cold beer, a fruity cider or, if you're particularly lucky, a cocktail that will leave you regretting your life decisions.
While there's nothing wrong with our existing repertoire, having something new to slurp on as we soak up those rare rays in the back garden is absolutely no bad thing.
Let us introduce you, then, to a new fruity concoction from Captain Morgan.

Captain Morgan's new Watermelon Smash blends Caribbean rum with refreshing, juicy watermelon flavour.
"Simply enjoy as a chilled shot for instantly delicious fun or create a refreshing spritzer by mixing with club soda and a lemon garnish," the Captain Morgan website tells us as if we don't have a choice.
The website also recommends using the drink for a fruity twist on a classic cocktail - a watermelon mojito. For this you'll just need some Watermelon Smash, some white rum, lime juice, sugar syrup (or gomme), club soda and mint leaves. Summer in a sip, that.

If you've ever eaten a watermelon flavoured Jolly Rancher, according to Delish the taste of the Watermelon Smash isn't far off that.
It looks similarly vivid in colour, too - which is good news if you're prone to burning, as your embarrassingly scarlet skin will instantly fade into the background if you're seen with the bright red drink.
Hell, even the scratch 'n' sniff pack is scented, meaning that the sweet watermelon is a multi-sensory experience.
The bad news is that the drink is a limited edition addition to the Captain Morgan range, meaning you'll have to be fairly quick if you want in on those summer vibes.

By the looks of things, it's also currently only available in the US - with an RRP of just $15.99 for a 750ml bottle - so if you're elsewhere in the world, you may have to come up with a back-up plan.
