Chunky cut chips topped with a rich, traditional gravy, melted mozzarella cheese and fresh spring onion? NEED.

It's snowing. It's a bit sh*t. And all we want to do is hibernate in front of the telly with family-sized portions of comfort food. It seems that everywhere you look these days, there's a new addition to a fast food menu that you just HAVE to try (McDonald's mozzarella dippers - I'm looking at you).

Considering spring's supposed to be on the way (yeah, it doesn't feel like it does it?), we kind of have to look at ourselves and make a decision. Do we want to get ourselves fit for summer or do we want to eat everything? Well, for the last 27 years of my life I've chosen the latter option, so why change the habit of a lifetime?

With that in mind, let me introduce you to Domino's Cheesy Chips and Gravy...

Domino's

The description reads: "Chunky cut chips topped with a rich, traditional gravy, melted mozzarella cheese and fresh spring onion."

Onion gravy is far superior to any others, so I like what they've done here.

I have some bad news, though. It's only currently available at Domino's Australia.

However, over here in the UK we do have a new addition to Nando's that is causing quite a stir in the world of chips: Halloumi Fries.

Behold their beauty:

Nando's

The halloumi fries also come with a side of chilli jam for dipping, which sounds like a pretty good combo to me - and to everyone else, it seems, with the news trending big time as people realised their chips no longer needed to be made out of potato, and could be made of pure cheese instead.

Nando's said: "The famous squeaky cheese has long been the perfect compliment to Nando's fiery brand of Southern African PERi-PERi chicken, and is now rewarded with its very own starter. Consisting of five chunky sticks of halloumi, grilled until golden brown, and served with a pot of Nando's sticky, sweet chilli jam for dipping; addiction levels will be high..."

They've also brought out a Veggie Cataplana which looks pretty damn good too:

Nando's

Nando's said: "The dish consists of chargrilled veg, chickpeas and beans, in a fiery rich tomato and coconut sauce. Served on spicy rice and sprinkled with toasted coconut shavings; Nando's refreshing twist on the traditional dish is not one to miss this spring."

Both are available now. Halloumi Sticks is priced at £3.70 and the Veggie Cataplana at £6.45.
