KFC Shares New Slogans After Scrapping 'Finger Lickin' Good' Tagline

KFC is changing its famous catchphrase - and it looks like it has multiple options to choose from.
The chain is widely known not just for its popular fried chicken, nor for the jolly fella on its logo - but also for its 'finger lickin' good' tagline.
But now we have some alternatives to that classic phrase - can you see yourself describing KFC's food as 'forking good'? How about 'better than your grandma's good'? The list doesn't end there, either.
You see, as 2020 became the year of coronavirus, the fast food chain quickly realised there were going to have to be temporary changes made, to avoid tempting anyone into... well, licking their grubby digits.
So the world-famous slogan has been taken away on a short-term basis (just like everything else was, we're used to it by now).
When it came to coming up with a replacement, KFC searched far and wide. The chain's biggest superfans were put to the test when they were challenged to come up with some new taglines.
Many people gave it their all to come up with a slogan that fits, including Professor Green, Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock, radio presenter Chris Stark, and even our first inductee to the KFC Superfan Hall of Fame, Kamlesh Mistry.
But the crucial job of picking the final slogans was down to the great British public, who were asked to vote on a list of potential taglines over on KFC's Instagram page.
They were presented with some clucking good (we'll stop now) suggestions.

If this news is really cutting deep, we might as well leave things on a high. KFC is still flogging its 80-piece popcorn chicken bucket for just £5.99.
The mega-treat went on sale on 24 August and will remain part of the menu until Sunday 4 October.
