Is there anything better than McDonald's fries? They're great when you're hungover, they're great when you're starving, they're great when you're skint... Basically, McDonald's fries are just always there for you.

The only downside is that you're fairly limited when it comes to sauces to dip them in - hell, they won't even give us mayo, because apparently there's not enough of a demand for it. Yeah, despite it being one of the most popular, classic and delicious sauces in the world.

Well, the McDonald's restaurants in Australia have got the right idea, filling the mayo void with something decidedly better: guacamole.

The guacamole fries are now available in McDonald's restaurants all over Australia, and they sound and look delicious.

The fries are the usual McDonald's kind that we know and love, but in the most millennial upgrade ever, they are loaded with guacamole and salsa.

We're feeling a trip to Australia so bad right now. FFS. Anyone got a spare few hundred quid?

Thankfully, for the rest of the world there's always the good people of Hack the Menu, who have unearthed some secret menu gems that you can have.

If you're fed up with all the usual, boring dipping options like ketchup or sweet and sour, apparently if you ask for a pot of Big Mac sauce you can usually get it for free. Not quite mayo, but it'll have to do.

There's also what's been dubbed the 'Poor Man's Big Mac', which involves ordering a McDouble but asking for extra lettuce and Big Mac sauce instead of the standard ketchup and mustard, slashing the price.

And then there's what's called the 'McGangBang', one of McDonald's most famous secret menu items. Simply order a McDouble and a McChicken, placing the latter in between the patties of the McDouble to create a towering burger with a double meat hit.

And in other good news for UK McDonald's fans, the fast food chain is set to ditch plastic straws in favour of more environmentally versions.

From May, McDonald's will be trialling paper straws in some of its restaurants, and you'll have to ask if you want to use one as they will be kept behind the counters. Sneaky, we like it.

UK McDonald's might not be giving us all of its new tasty menu options but at least it cares about the environment, and that's good enough for us for now.

A bit of mayo wouldn't go amiss though, amirite?
