For years there has been talk of McDonald's mysterious 'secret menu'. A bit of a misleading title - it's not an actual menu, but fans of the chain have created new meals by mixing and matching from the standard menu.

They include the McGangBang, the Mc1035am, the Monster Mac and a 'Neapolitan' milkshake among other things.

It's a hack, and a pretty decent one at that if you know what you're doing.

But most of us don't, so thankfully a McDonald's store manager started a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread, which went into detail about the different creations you can make from mixing up the menu.

McDonalds

The unidentified Glasgow store manager said: "You can order from the 'Secret Menu'. Just like with any of our sandwiches, you can add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called 'grill orders' (i.e. Big Mac no pickle).

"Order one and the workers might not know it by name (i.e. Land, Air and Sea burger or the McGangBang) but if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it's just another 'grill order' that we can make up."

The Monster Mac consists of four Big Macs.

It's important to remember that a lot of the 'secret menu' items involve either customising current ones, adding more than one together or purchasing extras, so if you want to get all creative with your Maccies experience than you are more than likely going to have to pay a little more.

One popular one is the 'Land, Air and Sea burger'. This creation sees beef, fish and chicken combined into one burger for a protein heavy meal.

To make it, you need to order a Big Mac, a Filet-O-Fish and a McChicken sandwich, and then build it yourself by putting the fish and chicken patties in to the Big Mac.

Beware though, this will set you back £10.47, and also a hefty 1,225 calories. It looks huge as well, so if your eating game is not as strong as it needs to be, you can also just modify it slightly and go for the 'Surf n Turf', which is the same - minus the chicken. That's a bit more manageable, at £6.98 and 837 calories.

Another is the 'Mc10:35' - named because of the fact it mixes items from the breakfast menu and the main menu.

Sausage and Egg McMuffin.

Timing is key with this one - you need an Egg and Cheese McMuffin and a Double cheeseburger Bang them together and there you have it. At only £3.58 and 740 calories, it's one of the cheaper options and least unhealthy - kind of.

Others include 'The Hangover Cure' - a Sausage and Egg McMuffin with a hash brown inside it, and then 'The Monster Mac', which consists of a ridiculous EIGHT patties.

Like a milkshake? Well, you don't have to stick to just one flavour. If you ask for a mix, your server should oblige. And combining strawberry, vanilla and chocolate will give you a Neapolitan.

Fancy.
