A millionaire has revealed how he went from McDonald's straight over to Salt Bae's London restaurant, but said it wasn't 'worth the price they charge'.

Chiraag Suchak, an IT contractor for investment banks who does index trading in his spare time, went to Nusr-Et with his pals after receiving a phone call while he was scoffing a chicken sandwich at one of the fast food giant's eateries.

Despite chowing down on the £5(ish) meal at McDonald's, when his friends rang to say they'd managed to get a reservation, he wasn't going to swerve it and 'arrived at Nusr-Et from McDonald's'.

Speaking to MyLondon, Chiraag said: "The thing is, I wasn't even that hungry, because I'd eaten lunch beforehand."

Not wanting to miss out on the opportunity to go to the new Knightsbridge, London, restaurant, he added: "I would say that the food is good but it's not worth the price that they charge.

"I've definitely had better. My friends who had the steak and the golden burger said the same."

He went on: "You really go for the experience, the atmosphere, and to get a selfie with the chef.

"You're paying to see Nusr-Et and the way he cuts the steak with his black gloves, and that thing he does when he squeezes the burger."

Chiraag isn't the first person to have negative words to say about the restaurant which is owned by social media sensation Salt Bae (otherwise known as Nusret Gökçe).

Sharing their thoughts on the restaurant, one person said: "Had to win Squid Game to afford this."

Another quipped: "Came here then realised I couldn't afford anything on the menu. Asked him to just sprinkle salt into my mouth instead. An absolute pleasure.

"Defo coming back for the pepper next time."

A third said: "Sold my left b*****k to eat here... might have to sell my kidney so my kids can come next time."

While another added: "Best place I've been to. Very good value for money.

"After paying £11 for Red Bull and £100 for a burger, I can say that a letter from HMRC has arrived stating that I have now been declared bankrupt.

"But at least the Turkish tea was free."

Swings and roundabouts, eh?
