An Indian restaurant in Surrey has set the record for the largest ever set menu, offering a slap-up meal that features 114 items.

Well, you'd have to assume that it is a world record. If there is anyone who knows of a bigger set takeaway menu, please get in touch.

Reckon you could tackle a curry-fest that size? You'd have to starve yourself for a week before and after.

The record-breaking scran, which features a 'Sack Matt Hancock' curry, means that fans of Indian food will be able to get their 'daily curry fix' without ever having to leave their home to get food for 10 days.

What's more, it only costs £49.99.

Less than 50 quid for 114 items ain't too bad value, is it?

The huge deal is being offered by Bombaylicious in Coulsdon in Surrey, and - get this - even comes with six bottles of Indian lager.

It includes classics such as masala lamb chops, chicken tikka, and samosas, but also the Aag Maithyoo Hancock.

That's the aforementioned 'Sack Matt Hancock' curry, but translated into Hindi. It is listed as a signature dish, but is also an obvious dig at the Health Secretary and how he has handled the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

So, the menu features 27 dishes and 114 items overall, as we've covered, and is thought to be the largest set menu ever created.

You'd have to imagine that is a fairly safe bet.

Bombaylicious owner Asad Khan says that the deal is only available to regular single customers who can't "maintain their usual curry intake" because of self-isolation.

He came up with the idea after reports in the news last week that Covid-19 tests could not be booked in any London area.

Khan explained: "We suffered greatly with the government's 'Eat In to Help Out' scheme, which took many of our customers away to nearby restaurants.

"The lack of testing in London, which we anticipate will soon reach Surrey, will be a double whammy for takeaways and for single people who will have to self-isolate for long periods of time."

"The Aag Maithyoo Hancock will, we hope, enable those regular customers to get the daily curry fix they deserve and crave."

Well, at less than £50 for a meal of that size, it would be rude not to get involved. If only we were all single regular customers and lived in that particular part of Surrey.
