Some people absolutely swear by sweet potato fries over normal chips. Whether it's the smoother, sweeter flavour, the texture or just the colour, people seem to go bloody wild over the chip style.

It seems as though it's so popular that McDonald's has decided to bring it into selected restaurants.
According to the Sun, the delicious fingers of goodness are available in Norway and Sweden for now, which is great for Scandinavians but where are they for the rest of us?

If you have a quick scan over social media, it's not as if demand isn't high.
While it doesn't seem as though they'll be brought to the UK at any time in the future, there was a glimmer of hope when a Twitter user questioned why the hell they weren't in every deep fryer across Britain.

The fast food empire replied to her, saying: "Thanks for reaching out! Menu items vary by restaurant and/or franchisee. Let your favorite store know you want Sweet Potato Fries on the menu!"

In 2015, sweet potato fries became a staple of Texan McDonald's meals after a decision was made to trial them in the land where everything is bigger. Sadly though, it seems as though it wasn't popular enough as it was eventually taken off the menu.
Until Maccies decides to get its act together with the sweet potato fries, at least we can revel in their new cheesy bites and chicken select shareboxes.
The two new share boxes are available exclusively through McDelivery, which has recently been rolled out to include over 200 restaurants, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get your greasy paws on a box.
