There are plenty of Mexican fast food joints in Australia to get your tacos, burritos and guacamole fix.

There's Guzman y Gomez, Zambrero, Max Mex...you get the picture.

But there is one massive corporation that is coming to Melbourne later this year that is set to shake up the whole game.

Victoria's capital is getting...drum roll please...a goddamn Taco Bell.

According to The Urban List, locations for various franchise restaurants haven't been revealed just yet, however we can expect the Chihuahua fronted fast food chain 'very soon'.

Writing on social media, the company said: "M E L B O U R N E we're coming for you! And you bet we packed our craveable Mexican-inspired menu."

Taco Bell has already been established in Queensland in Annerley, Cleveland, North Lakes, Robina and Southport.

Pictures on social media show there are loads of lines outside these stores so no doubt there will be similar scenes when Taco Bell opens in Melbourne.

It's all part of their strategy to open 50 restaurants around Australia over the next three years.

Taco Bell Asia Pacific Managing Director Ankush Tuli said: "We have had an overwhelming response to the launch of Taco Bell in Brisbane, and we know the Australian market is hungry for more.

"We can't wait to give our passionate fans in Australia the chance to enjoy Taco Bell in more cities across the country."

Well, it seems like this time is now.
