Twix Peanut Butter Is Back But People Are Struggling To Find It

The snack was discontinued earlier in the year.

In the world we live in, things come and go a lot. You'll often find yourself thinking about some limited edition snack that was perhaps taken away too soon.

People will probably remember green ketchup, which wasn't exactly ground-breaking, but one of those nostalgia triggering things. The same goes for Cadbury Snowflake, Taz bars, Turkey Twizzlers and Panda Pops.

However, now and again we're treated to a WWE Undertaker-esque return, when a product from times-gone-by rises from the dirt, thought to be dead and buried.

In this case, it hasn't really been a long time since Twix Peanut Butter was taken off shelves. The chocolate bar was discontinued due to 'supply issues' in January, but an announcement in July confirmed they'd be making a comeback, TODAY reports.

It was reported that it'd be back in September, though there have been people complaining that they couldn't get their hands on any.

It seems Twix might be releasing the bars in doses, rather in bulk, as they posted this tweet:

They're available on Amazon to buy, too, if you just want to cut the bullshit and get a multipack yourself, which will cost about £10.

The sought after treats are out there though, as a search on Twitter will tell you, it's just about finding where to get them.

"Twix Peanut Butter is now appearing on convenience store shelves and gaining distribution in drug, grocery, and mass outlets through the end of the year," Michelle Deignan, Twix Brand Director for Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., told TODAY Food.

"The dark chocolate, peanut butter and white chocolate categories are some of the largest and fastest growing flavor segments in our industry."

If you're so desperate to find out where you can get one, then you may as well follow #FoundNewTwix on Twitter, and act like you're not a weirdo following in someone else's footsteps.
