A vegan activist has taken to TikTok to explain why she has - for the first time - decided not to sign the organ donation card because she doesn't want them to go to meat eaters if she dies.
Miss Kadie - also known as 'thatveganteacher' on the video sharing platform - says it's 'disappointing that it's come to this' when she announced her news.
The campaigner explained how this is the first time she has not signed up for organ donation, adding that her reasoning behind it is that she realised 'how despicable society is' and 'how many evil people are out there'.

The former nurse said: "Before becoming a teacher I worked as a nurse for 25 years and I always talked about the importance of signing our organ donor cards. But this year, for the first time in my life, I have decided not to sign it and here's why.
"I realise how despicable society is. How many evil people are out there - especially since coming to TikTok, even more so and I've decided that there's no way on Earth that I want any of you to ever get my organs if I die.
"The only people I would ever want are vegan animal rights activists because I will give those organs to those people and I know they will not be murdering animals to put into that body that would have been saved.
"The rest of you will just continue to live and keep murdering animals. So I just wanted to let you know that it's really disappointing that it's come to this."
At the time of writing this, the video had been watched over 750,000 times, had over 15,000 likes and 1,700 shares.

Some of the comments however slammed the woman, with one person posed the question: "Does that mean you wouldn't accept an organ (if you needed one) if it wasn't from a vegan??"
Another wrote: "So you're saying if they're not vegan you're just gonna let them die and ur going to be ok with that?"
On the other side of the argument, there were some TikTokers in agreement with Kadie. One said: "Same feeling here. I'm a nurse too & have saved & comforted lives, I know the importance of giving."
A fourth added: "[The] UK have an opt our system otherwise they will automatically take your viable organs. Tho I have specified that I want my organs to go to children only."
