Wagamama Wants To Know Who Ordered Nothing Else But 13 Katsu Sauces

We see absolutely nothing wrong with this...

Wagamama is searching for one of their customers who placed an order for nothing but katsu curry sauce.

The popular chain took to social media to track down the loyal customer - who clearly likes their fan-favourite product.

According to the person's receipt, they ordered 13 portions of the katsu curry sauce and not a scratch more.

The devoted sauce fiend placed the order through Deliveroo on 21 September - if it was you, get in touch with them.

People were quick to defend the customer, saying they don't blame them for wanting to stock up on the sauce.

One wrote: "Maybe they simply wanted to dip themselves and become the snack they've always wanted to be."

Another added: "Dont blame whoever order this. I moved to [Canada] and I miss Chicken Katsu Curry and Ebi kareraisu everyday." A third simply commented: "This is me everytime I go."

Wagamama

According to the Wagamama menu, tubs of the katsu sauce are £1 each so the customer spent £13 (plus the delivery fee).

One thing they didn't seem to realise when they ordered the batch of sauce was that Wagamama posted a DIY recipe over lockdown. We get it though, DIY = effort.

The restaurant chain's executive chef Steve Mangleshot took on the demonstration for the series 'wok from home' giving people the information they need if they're missing their katsu fix.

They revealed the list of ingredients needed which are: vegetable oil, onion, garlic clove, ginger, turmeric, mild curry powder, plain flour, chicken or vegetable stock, coconut milk, light soy sauce, sugar, rice, chicken breasts, eggs, panko breadcrumbs and salad leaves. Seems pretty simple, right?

In the video, Steve explained: "This is the first time in 20 years that I've gone this long without cooking Wagamama food and to be honest, I'm missing it," adding: "So, I thought I'd bring the Wagamama kitchen home so we can all get our Wagamama fix.

"The production value might not be up to our usual standard as it will be shot on an iPhone 11 but to be honest we're making this up as we go along. My wife is the producer/director and my kids are the sous chefs. So it's gonna be interesting."
