Woman Once Made A Bizarre Discovery After Opening Her Cadbury’s Easter Egg

It's that time of year, folks - the time when we gorge ourselves on egg-shaped chocolate for no apparent reason except for a loose connection to religion. It's the best.

However, a couple of years back a Cadbury customer was a little surprised to be handed more than she bargained for after receiving a chocolate egg for Easter.

Back in 2016, Charlotte Garner got a genuine surprise (even more so than the one you get from a Kinder Egg) after discovering her Twirl choc also contained someone's spectacles.

It was clear the old boy or gal at the factory must've dropped them into the box - probably because they couldn't see what they were doing.

Luckily Charlotte found the funny side of it all and posted a pic of the egg a la specs on Cadbury's Facebook page. In the post, she wrote: "Just opened my Easter Egg and one of your workers must have left their glasses as now I have them."

At least it was only a pair of glasses and nothing too harmful or unsanitary. On the other side of the coin, there have been some no-so-savoury discoveries inside of Easter eggs in the past.

In a story about a chocolate egg that was definitely not from the Cadbury factory, last year a young kid discovered a bunch of pills inside of his.

The Metro reported that Riley Apps was munching through the Minions-themed treat when he reached the toy in the centre.

When 22-year-old mum Sophie Brown opened the capsule for him, she discovered that instead of a plastic toy, there were four colorful pills and two white tablets marked with 'MDZ'.

After taking the pills to the police, tests confirmed they were in fact palliative care sedatives, which could suggest some dealer was trying to screw over his buyers. However, it doesn't explain how the tablets got into the egg.

Brown went on to warn parents to keep an eye out when they open "surprise" Easter egg chocolates, because you never know what kind of surprise you might get.

It could be a pair of spectacles or it could be a bunch of pills. So remember peeps - this Easter, stay vigilant when it comes to chowing down on your chocolaty treats. And if you find something funny, post the picture online for goodness' sake.
