This is the heartwarming moment a bunch of mates chipped in to buy a poorly little boy a PS4.

Four-year-old Harrison Lee was born with tricuspid atresia and has spent his life in and out of Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, undergoing three operations.

His dad Mike Quinn told LADbible: "We found out he had a heart problem at his 20-week scan. He spent most of his first year in Alder Hey Hospital - during that time he's had a cardiac arrest and a peri-arrest.

"When he was born doctors told us he would need three operations in total. He had his last one, called a fontan, last week and it all went well, we're hoping that's it now."

Brave little Harrison underwent his first operation back in February 2014 and a second in October of the same year. He had his third just last week and is still hooked up to chest drains.

After going through so much, Mike's pals wanted to do something nice for the little boy, so they clubbed together in secret to buy him a present, surprising Harrison and Mike.

Pals Craig Freitas, Adam Smith, Matt Brooks, Cory Sandys, Jamie Fairey, Anthony Kavanagh, Kyle Watson, Lee Williams, Lewis Cannon, Mike Artherton, Jon Gillingam, Rob Mc, Robbie Bennet and Mark Fitz all chipped in to together to get enough cash to buy Harrison a PS4 and even gave him an extra £75, which I hope he's already spent on games.

Mike explained: "We've got a group chat and one of my mates said, 'We should all chip in and get him something,' but I thanked them for the offer and told them they didn't need to.

"A few days later, my mate Craig was 'round mine and he asked me what I was going to get Harrison for Christmas and I said I'd probably get him a PS4 because he loves to play on mine and hasn't got one at his mum's house.

"The next day he asked if he could come to visit him and told me they'd chipped in and bought him some board games to keep him occupied while he's in hospital. When we got there, Harrison unwrapped the present and saw the PS4.

"We were just both completely shocked by the gesture. It was amazing of them. We all really appreciate it."

And now there's even better news for little Harrison, because his dad reckons that - all being well - he'll be home in two weeks. Let's hope the PS4 is set up, eh?
