World's Largest Over-Water Villas With Private Slides Into Sea Have Now Opened

World's Largest Over-Water Villas With Private Slides Into Sea Have Now Opened

These are the largest over-water villas in the world, surrounded by the ocean and complete with private pools, expansive terraces and slides straight into the sea:

These villas ooze luxury, with outdoor bathrooms, glass panels in the floor to watch the fish pass by, and even retractable ceilings to soak up the sunshine without needing to leave your bed.

The incredible water retreats are located in Blackpool. JOKE - they're in the Maldives, obviously, and based at the glamorous Soneva Fushi resort.

Oh, and they're available now if you've got any spare change lying around.

They've been dubbed the 'most private over-water villas in the Maldives', boasting at least 30 to 40 metres between each villa, to enhance a sense of space and seclusion.

Soneva Fushi is offering two bedroom and one bedroom water retreats - both come with slides (don't panic).

According to the company's website, the villas come with a private pool, water slide, large deck, outdoor bathroom, living room, retractable roof, sunken dining area, upper deck with dining sale, and day bed.

If you do decide to book at the resort there are complimentary activities and services including personal butlers, access to the home-made chocolate room and ice-cream parlour, a weekly sunset cocktail party, snorkelling at the house reef and yoga at the Turtle Beach Champa.

There are also regular movie screenings at Cinema Paradiso, the widest screen in the Indian Ocean, with complimentary gourmet popcorn and ice-cream as well as full use of the gym and tennis courts. So you wouldn't even need to stay in that god-awful villa...

As you may have already imagined, these villas come with a Hefty price tag (note the capital H). Prices start from $2,626 per night (approx £2,050) for the one-bedroom retreats, while stays at the two-bedroom retreats start from $5,232 per night (£4,100). Maybe we could stay for an hour?

You can find out more on the Soneva Fushi website.

If you don't want to part with enough money for a house deposit for a holiday, you could always take a look at the Stella Island Luxury Resort in Greece.

Alright, you might not be waking up with the ocean at the foot of your bed. But water's water, innit? Although at this alternative site, it would be slightly more chlorine-infused than salty.

Situated right on the coast of Crete - and with its own private beach, may I add - the adult-only hotel offers guests a luxurious stay with the option to upgrade your room so that it's over the water - meaning you can physically swim up to it (or do a cannonball first thing in the morning, whatever tickles your fancy).
