Imagine it, you've just spent a gruelling amount of time in labour. The last few hours have been occupied listening to your child's cries, changing first nappies. You've never been so tired.

There's been no time to check the news, or you've crawled under a rock. You've just checked that the baby is strapped in to their brand new seat, for the umpteenth time.

We're no experts but wouldn't you just want to get home and crawl straight into bed? That is until you step outside and BOOM.

There's *the* biggest crowd outside the hospital building, flashes from each and every direction all to get that first snap of you.

This is exactly what happened to one couple who have just emerged out of the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, following the birth of their baby.

Just in case you've somehow managed to miss the news, Kate Middleton went into labour this morning ahead of the couple's third child - hence the media presence.

We're sorry to say but, no, this isn't the norm.

What would you do? Scramble back inside as fast as possible? Just ride it out, cool as a cucumber - after all you've just had a baby, you're a machine.

The chances are, it's going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Just go with it. And that's exactly what this unsuspecting couple did on finding the world's press eagerly waiting.

They styled it out perfectly, stood and smiled. Proud as punch with their new born baby in the carry seat.

LADbible reported earlier today that The Duchess of Cambridge was taken in a car to the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in London alongside her husband, The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.

A tweet from Kensington Palace earlier read: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour.

"The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."

The new royal baby will be the fifth in line of succession after Prince Charles, William, George and Charlotte. Prince Harry - currently fifth in line to the throne - will be bumped to sixth in line.

According to People a group of devoted royal fans have been camped outside the hospital since April 9 in anticipation of the royal baby's birth.

Terry Hutt, 83, and John Loughrey, 63, have been there for a few weeks and Terry has told People: "I know the routine so we wanted to get here for the best view.

"We're excited, over the moon. I had a sense it was going to be today. We are going to celebrate later with fish and chips."

That's a serious celebration.
