A couple in London rearranged their wedding in two hours to get married before tier four restrictions came into place. You can watch clips from their big day, or night, here:

Chloe and Jamie Collins were originally supposed to get married on 6 September, but were forced to reorganise three times due to the ever-changing coronavirus restrictions.

As such, it comes as no surprise that Chloe said their 'hearts sank' yesterday (Saturday 19 December) when Boris Johnson announced new tier four measures would come into effect at midnight, effectively cancelling their wedding once again, as it was due to take place today.

Under tier four rules, weddings are only allowed to take place in 'exceptional circumstances', such as when one partner is extremely ill.

But after feeling 'physically sick' herself after the prime minister delivered the devastating blow, 31-year-old Chloe ended up tying the knot at the eleventh hour - well, 10pm, actually.

The service was held at Edgware United Synagogue with 15 guests, while more than 100 others watched on via Zoom.

Chloe, who works as a lettings negotiator, told the BBC: "I've never in my life felt so much love and felt so grateful. We felt the love, and it felt like they were there.

"Our rabbi had the idea to bring the wedding forward.

"We just started calling people to see what we could do, and the more calls we made the more people said 'yes'.

"It was a miracle that it just kind of came together. It felt like a dream. Some people take years to plan a wedding, but we did it in two hours."

The couple tied the knot at 10pm last night.

It took a good deal of effort to get the wedding over the line in time too, with Jamie's best man driving more than two hours each way to attend the last minute service.

It was all worth it for the couple though, who have been flooded with messages from well-wishers in the past 24 hours.

Chloe said: "I've been welling up with messages from people who aren't my close friends saying it was amazing.

"I think it's just nice to hear nice news for a change."

Speaking to LADbible, Chloe thanked all those who helped make it possible.

She said: "We would just like to say a massive thank you to all our suppliers who made this happen.

"Denee Motion for the video, Chiko and Jo from Chiko Photography, Liz from Funky Flowers, Sensation Band, Dani Levi for makeup and Abbie Tyler for the hair, our Rabbi Lister and Edgware United Synagogue."

Now, the newlyweds have more than a month to wait until a planned honeymoon in Dubai and the Maldives.
