Man Who Has Covered His Body In Black Ink Wants To Remove His Nipples

Man Who Has Covered His Body In Black Ink Wants To Remove His Nipples

A man who has spent more than £9,000 covering his body in black ink is now hoping to cover his tongue and remove his nipples.

Yannick Rick, from Chur in Switzerland, has always admired tattoos but says he become more interested aged 19 when he saw a bloke at the beach with full body ink.

Now, the 25-year-old has spent £9,200 (€10,000) achieving his ideal look, which is known as 'blackwork' after starting with just one arm in 2016.

Yannick says after seeing how his arm looked and becoming 'fascinated' with the pain, he went on to cover the rest of his body and reckons he's spent around 400-hours under the tattoo needle. Ouch.

He says he turns heads wherever he goes and has also had to deal with trolls online who have called his tattoos 'ugly' and even questioned his mental health.

Yannick, a carer, says his weekly tattoo sessions have made him feel more 'in touch' with his body and says they give him a feeling of invigoration - adding that it's similar to 'retail therapy' for him.

He's now planning on getting the palms of his hands and the soles of his feet inked before moving on to his mouth and tongue. Rather you than me, mate.

Yannick said: "My friends and family were a little bit surprised at first but they knew it interested me so it's normal to them now. So many people are fascinated by what I do and want to know the meaning behind it.

Man Who's Spent £50k On Ink Plans To Get Body Tattooed Completely Black

"Online I get the odd negative comments from people. At the retirement home I work at, residents ask me what the black is. They think my hands are dirty, or they'll ask if it'll go away once I've had a shower.

"I guess it does make it more difficult to find a job, but I've been able to manage and I'm finding that people are more and more accepting of tattooed people.

Yannick says he helped keep the cost of his tattoos down by learning to create some of the blackwork himself. He's also developed an interest in body modification and now sports several 'scarification' markings.

Yannick said: "You can feel the scars through the blackwork which I really like.

"I'd like to tattoo my palms and the soles of my feet next followed by my mouth and tongue. Then, I want to remove my nipples and get some white ink.

"I feel so much more in touch with my body. I know which areas are more sensitive and which are not, and I've learnt how to make certain areas of my body feel better."
