A man who transformed himself into a 'black alien' has had his nose surgically removed.
Anthony Loffredo has covered himself in tattoos and piercings as well as undertaking numerous extreme body modifications. The latest of which has seen the 32-year-old Frenchman head to Oscar Marquez's studio for a 'rhinotomy', or in other words, a nose amputation.
The procedure was historically used as a form of judicial punishment and is banned in many countries, but Anthony seemed delighted with the result.
Sharing the results with his 178,000 Instagram followers, he said: "Like in a dream... I live this dream...
"Thank you to you @oscarmarquezbodymod you will have marked my life... now I can walk with my head high thanks to you, I am proud of what we did together."
As you can plainly see, the latest body modification isn't out of character. He's also had both ears removed, tattooed his eyes black, had dermal implants put in his face and had his tongue split in two.
Whatever you make of it, if his mission is to look like a black alien, then he is certainly succeeding.
Explaining why he embarked on the project, he told French newspaper Midi Libre in 2017: "From a very young age, I have been passionate about mutations and transformations of the human body.
"I had a click when I was a security guard. I realised that I was not living my life the way I wanted. I stopped everything at 24 and left for Australia.
"It has become normal, even unconscious, to constantly think about my plans for the next few months. I love getting into the shoes of a scary character."
