A man has shared the incredible results of a Home Depot fly catcher - check it out:

Posting on TikTok Nick Siebecker, or @nicksiebecker, shared the results of the fly catcher after one hour, three hours, one day, three days and finally four days - all the while the number of flies caught growing wildly.

Alongside the video Nick wrote: "Bought this fly trap from Home Depot, let's see how it works."

And fellow TikTok users have been blown away by its effectiveness.

One person wrote: "Three days and that thing paid for itself."

Another TikToker said: "For real, I have one of these. I almost gagged when I picked it up."

Someone else joked: "Watch flies become extinct in a couple of years because of this."

In a follow up clip, Nick can be seen inside Home Depot arming himself with even more of the traps and some fly catching paper for good measure.

Yikes, Nick, what did flies ever do to you?

If you don't have a Home Depot handy, a woman has shared a hack for keeping flies out of your home and it costs pennies.

Alison Turnball Halliday shared her trick on a Facebook page dedicated to cleaning hacks and says that it works like a charm.

Sharing a snap of a bag of water with a few coins in, she wrote: "I've seen a few people mention on here about a bag of water with coins in to stop flies from going in the house.

"Today I decided to give it a go. I had nowhere to hang the bag so just put it on the ground.

"The doors have been open since 7.30am and I haven't had one fly in the house - even when making food. It's a big thumbs up from me."

Others have commented to say they'd tried it and it worked, with one person responding: "Works for me I've done it for a few years now."

While a second said they implemented the trick and 'went from hundreds of flies to seeing the occasional one, but he didn't hang around long'.

Worth a shot, eh?
