Model Who Spent £28,000 On Tattoos Uses Make Up To Show How She Looks Without Ink

She wasn't a fan of her more natural look

A heavily tattooed model, who has even had her eyeballs inked, covered herself up in thick foundation to remind herself how she used to look.

Aussie Amber Luke has spent tens of thousands of dollars on 600 tattoos, cosmetic procedures and body modifications over the years, including having her tongue split, ears stretched and, more recently, a Brazilian butt lift.

In all, Amber says she's spent AU $50,000 (£28,000) on her tattoos.

Appearing on an episode of Hooked on the Look, Amber used make up to cover her tattoo, but was less than impressed with her 'make-under' and said she felt she looked 'terrible' after hiding her ink.

Opening up about how she felt before getting her tattoos, a tearful Amber said: "Imagine hating yourself so much that you couldn't look in the mirror, you couldn't even step outside your house.

"It was just... horrific, to live through."

But the 25-year-old says what she's been through has made stronger, adding: "I guess these days I'm just a different person to what I used to be.

"Life happens and you get judged. At the end of the day, I'm a strong person and I can take it no matter what."

Amber has previously shared throwback snaps with her 112,000 followers showing what she looked like pre-tattoos.

In one throwback photo Amber - minus her tattoos - can be seen in a long, turquoise gown, while her blonde hair hangs in curls over one shoulder.

The model says her unique look isn't to everyone's taste but that she doesn't let people's opinions get her down.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Australia last year, she said: "I gained a lot of support and positive vibes from complete strangers - there was always the few nasty opinionated ones who try to make you feel inadequate, but I never let them get to me."

She added: "If you're reading this and you have nothing nice to say? Don't say it at all. You never know what a person's going through in their personal lives, be kind.

"I'm not harming anyone in the process, I'm doing what I want to do and if it makes me get up in the morning and be a happy person, then so be it."
