A Romanian widower who was left £250,000 ($344,390) by his ex is in a new relationship with a former flame.

In 2017, 28-year-old Florin Marin married British vicar Philip Clements, who decided to sell his home in Kent to move to Bucharest.

Philip died last June aged 81, leaving his fortune to his husband, and now Florin is in a relationship with 51-year-old Jesus de Vega.

Despite the wealth he has accumulated from his late husband, Florin said Jesus is now paying his way.

According to The Sun, he said: "For the holidays my Spanish man Jeronimo Jesus de Vega is paying.

"I don't spend my money on holidays - my lovers pay for it.

"I still have money from my husband because I'm not stupid to spend the money from my husband on little things.

"I'm just putting the money in a bank saving there."

Florin met Jesus while he and Philip were on a break and he has not ruled out marrying him.

He said: "Yes maybe I will marry again but I'm not rushing yet. I've just been dating him for a couple of months.

"Of course I think about Philip every day because he was my husband and still is watching me from the clouds."

For the time being, he's focussing on ignoring the gold diggers that have been contacting him since Philip died.

Florin said: "They contact me on Facebook and on TikTok sometimes promising to me they will be with me all my life.

"But I still tell them they can't play with me because I'm very clever and smart and they can't lie to me."

Florin - who was branded a 'leech' by his late husband's family - said earlier this year that he wants a more 'relaxed' life.

He explained: "I want to be more relaxed after all of this year. I decided to sell the flat that Philip bought for me.

"I know a lot of people are thinking, 'Oh Florin is coming up poor.' No darling - I sell it because I wanted to make a change in my life, not because I need money.

"I sell it because I want to be more relaxed and close this story. It doesn't mean that I don't want to think about my ex-husband.

"But I just want to start a fresh year, a fresh life and a fresh house. Because I have a lot of memories here with Philip and I want to keep it in my heart and in my mind but not in the same place where I lived with him."
