A US woman is so obsessed with vampires she's splashed out to get a set of her very own fangs fitted.

Bodybuilder Sara Holda, 34, is also a fan of the 'vampy, high cheekbone look' so gets fillers injected into her cheeks as well as Botox to keep her face wrinkle-free.

She's also considering some more procedures to make her face look more like Angelina Jolie's in Maleficent.

Sara, who lives in Nashville in the US, spent $400 (£292) on some fangs as a Christmas present to herself back in 2019, she then had them enlarged last year for an extra $100 (£73).

And Sara is no stranger to changing her appearance, she transformed her body after she started weight lifting back in 2010.

She said: "I was on the treadmill at the gym one day back in 2010 and was watching these guys lift weights. They looked like they were having so much fun.

"So, I just got brave and went up to them and asked them if they could teach me how to do it.

"Seeing my body change - even within the first month - from boobs and curves into muscle, was really addictive."

Since then she hasn't looked back and has even done a bit of fitness modelling to show off her impressive physique.

As her body continued to change, Sara said it seemed logical to make the jump into looking more like a vampire.

"Soon, I had bulging biceps and firm thighs, she said. "I was really hooked on the transformation and, to me, the vampire look was a natural progression."

Sara added: "I've always been so fascinated by vampires, too, she said. "The fact they have eternal life, super strength, their look, the biting of the neck thing. Everything about them is so cool to me.

"Everyone's obsessed with eternal youth and is getting plastic surgery to keep it these days - and vampires are beautiful forever, too."

So in 2019, she approached a dentist to see if he was able to her create her dream set of fangs and was chuffed when he agreed.

The dentist used the same material that is used to fill cavities to mould two fangs onto Sara's canines, bonded them to her natural teeth and filed them into points. Clever, eh?

Sara said: "I was so surprised. I didn't think he would do it. He admitted he'd never done anything like this before, but I was just so happy he would give it a go.

"It took 20 minutes in total, door to door - no numbing, no putty or anything."

Sara said the fangs took a bit of getting used to but now she's delighted with them and even her family are on-board with her unusual gnashers.

Sara now hopes to encourage people to express themselves via their bodies.

She said: "People like to trick out their cars or decorate their homes, but the body I live in is my home on this earth, so while I'm here I'm going to trick it out too and make it nice.

"You only live once - although for a vampire that can be forever - so just do it."
