Woman Quits Banking Job To Become Full-Time Sex Toy Reviewer

There are products around the world that would be pretty cool to be the official tester for. It would be a sweet gig to be paid to taste chocolate or ride on rollercoasters or...use sex toys?

I guess someone has to do it.

That someone is Cara Douglas, who was bored of her regular job and switched it to review vibrators, lube and other sexual aids for online retailer Lovehoney. In exchange for the testing, the Lincolnshire woman is pulling in £30,000 a year, which isn't too shabby at all.

There are plenty of jobs that have some pretty good perks, but does your occupation give you 20 orgasms a week?

Yeah, didn't think so.

There's a saying that many people use when trying to find their dream job: find your passion and a way to get paid for it and you'll never work a day in your life. That's exactly what Cara has done as she says: "I have always loved sex toys so I am very lucky to have made a career out of what was my hobby."

"I hated being a banker and now I get paid for doing something I feel really passionate about.

"I am earning half what I was in banking but I am having twice as much fun."

Now, you might be thinking that having that many orgasms a week would make Cara neglect her sexual relationship with her fiancé Darren. But she says it's done the complete opposite and they're happier than ever.

That's because sometimes Darren gets to have a piece of the action when his soon-to-be wife reviews couple's toys.

"Obviously that is fun to do but you have to maintain your professionalism and work out what aspects of the product work well and what don't.

"Overall, I would say that my job enhances our sex life. Sex is like a muscle - the more you use it, the more active it is."

Cara credits her higher than average sex drive for her success in her industry, which is understandable because you'd have to be pretty horny to be constantly testing out vibrators and other sexual tools.

"Sex toys have changed my life in so many positive ways.

"To me they are like sexual 'seasoning' - they add so much flavour to sex and can bring greater levels of intimacy to your sex life as a couple. They make sure things never get stagnant."

Lovehoney says Cara is one of their most popular reviewers and she's tested more than 3,000 products since getting started.
