Woman Removes Huge Spider From Her Car Only To Find Its Babies Days Later

This gets a massive 'nope' from me

A removed a massive spider from her car only for hundreds of its babies to then pop up while she was driving.

The nightmarish scenario played out in Adelaide at around 9pm on Christmas Day - Emma, a mum-of-two, was on her way to a petrol station when she saw the first spider.

And not just any spider - a huntsman spider.

Emma removed the spider and thought no more of it, until she started spotting baby spiders in her car over the next few days.

At this point, Emma decided to stop using her car and, honestly, who can blame her?

She then bought a 'bug bomb' to chuck in the car and kill off the spiders, but the mist from the bomb caught onto the silk threads left by the baby spiders showing off just how badly infested it was.

Talking to the Daily Mail about the creepy incident, she said she saw the first spider as she was going to but petrol.

Emma said: "As I pulled up, I looked out of the corner of my eye and on passengers' side, on the dash was the spider.

"I really just stared at it for a while, thinking, 'what am I going to do with this thing?'

"I was by myself luckily, my kids would have freaked out!"

Emma hopped out the car and walked over to the passengers' side and attempted to remove the spider with her shoe but she was unable to safely remove it and ended up squishing it, before picking it with some tissue and putting it in the bin.

But that was really only the start of the whole thing.

Emma says when she was out driving with her kids - a son aged five and two daughters aged 10 and 12 - 'babies started coming out of nowhere', terrifying them.

After several unsuccessful attempts with natural remedies she decided to go for the nuclear option and purchased a bug bomb.

She said: "When I opened the car, there were webs everywhere, the babies were coming down off the roof.

"I went in to try and get my sunglasses out but I felt very webby after."

She added: "They were gliding a lot, they were having a party there."

Huntsman spiders don't actually create webs like their fellow arachnids, but they do produce fine silk threads which are used to make egg sacs or to climb - the mist left by the bug bomb coated these threads, which is why you can see them in the photos.

Emma has since removed all the dead spiders and cleaned up the silk, but says her little boy still isn't keen on going in the car.

I can't say I blame him.
