If you've ever attempted to make a delicious hot chocolate at home, only to end up with a lumpy, lukewarm cup of disappointment, then you're in luck because one TikTok user has spilled on how to make the perfect hot chocolate.

In a video that has been viewed more than 1.5 million times on the platform, Chloe Rose gave users all the details on creating a Cadbury-standard hot choccie - and you don't even need instant chocolate powder.

Instead, Chloe suggests using Cadbury Buttons, explaining that this was how hot chocolate is made at Cadbury World.

"I work at Cadbury World and this is how we make the pengest hot chocolate," she wrote. "Use buttons melted with hot water instead of powder."

She can be seen putting about eight chocolate buttons into a mug before adding a splash of boiling water and mixing thoroughly until the buttons have formed a paste.

Then she heated up some milk and poured it on top of the chocolate before mixing up the ingredients.

"Mix well. [Add] whipped cream and a Flake on top with chocolate dusting to finish," she added.

Since she posted the handy video, it has received over 140,000 likes and 1400 comments from thankful hot chocolate lovers.

Others were shocked at the fact many use boiling water instead of milk, as one said: "Wait hold up people actually use water imma head out rn I-".

And if levelled-up hot chocolate is more up your alley, Chloe has also shared a number of alternatives to the traditional recipe, including a tutorial on how to make 'salted caramel' version in another video.
