A woman has claimed she was uninvited from her friend's wedding because she looked 'too good' in the dress she was set to wear for the event.
The fashion model, called Alena, claims her friend actually picked out the dress for her to wear and then rescinded her invite to the wedding on the grounds that she looked... well, fabulous.

Taking to TikTok, Alena (@alenayildiz) wrote: "My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me."
The video has now been watched by over 5.8 million people and has reached 1.6 million likes.
Commenting on the post, one person wrote: "SHE’S the one who chose the dress so she could’ve just asked you to change your dress instead of rudely uninviting you."

Another added: "As your friend, she should want you to look beautiful. If she was secure and confident, she wouldn’t feel intimidated at her own wedding. So sad."
A third joked: "I mean she kinda right u can’t come like that at my wedding and expect me not to run away with you, like at that point I’m marrying you."

Alena responded: "Literally," following by a laughing face emoji.
Alena wrote in the comments section, thanking people for their words, saying: "Y‘all are so CUUTE IN THE COMMENTSSSS. Let‘s just all attend each other’s weddings. Thanks for putting a smile on my face after this disaster."

Sharing their own experience, one person commented: "Same. My 'friend' since high school didn’t want me in her wedding party because she thought I’d outshine her, insecure much?"
Giving her some advise on how to handle the situation, another TikToker wrote: "Yes you look great in it… but honestly I understand your friend… I would respect it and pick another dress... it’s her day and mean to outshine her."
But Alena explained that it's too late, replying: "I get what you mean but she uninvited me right before the wedding so there wasn't even time to get a new one I just stayed home..."
