Mum Explains Why She Breastfed Husband

'There are some things in marriage and having babies that you just can’t prepare for, and this is one of them'

A mum has explained why she took the less than ideal step of breastfeeding her husband. Watch here:

Jennifer took to TikTok to explain why her husband stepped in for her baby and latched on.

In the video shared last week - which has been viewed 11.8 million times - she recalled: "There are some things in marriage and having babies that you just can't prepare for. And this is one of them.

"This weekend, I started having pain in my right breast... I'm breastfeeding, so I figured it was a clogged milk duct, which happens frequently for some people.

"But I ended up getting a fever and it was mastitis, so I got antibiotics."

Unfortunately though, the drugs didn't seem to do the trick - nor did a number of other attempts to clear the clogged milk duct, including Epsom salt baths, hot towels and a range of supplements.

But then Jennifer's online research led her to a rather undesirable suggestion.

She explained: "I found this article - because I was just Googling and Googling - that said your partner should suck the clog out.

"Mind you, I never in a million years would have ever considered letting my husband breastfeed off of me. Nor has he ever wanted to, I should clarify.

"And I know that that can be a kink... No. Just no."

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

However, while the potential solution didn't have any erotic appeal for the couple, days of agony followed for Jennifer, while their baby cried continuously because she wasn't getting enough milk.

As such, Jennifer felt she was left with no choice.

She said: "I mentioned it to my husband. I was like, 'Do you want to help me out?'

"He was like, 'I would do that for you, but I might gag, I might throw up, but I'll do that for you.'

"So we did it. We got this bowl, and we went into the side so he could spit it out."

Jeez, I feel like I'm gonna spew just thinking about it.

Thankfully, her hubby's suckling seemed to do the trick - though it may have done long term psychological damage.

She continued: "I feel like I have PTSD.

"It worked. He cleared the blockage. I feel like I can't look you guys in the eye right now.

"But yeah, at the beginning, he got a small taste of it. He was like, 'This is actually really sweet.'

"But then at the end, when he unclogged it, he basically was about to gag, because it started flowing because the clog was gone. And that was enough, enough. I feel like we're bonded for life."

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to find a bucket.
