This is the moment rescue teams were dispatched to recover what was believed to be a dead body, only to find it was someone taking a 'nap':

The man was spotted in the Arkansas River on Wednesday (18 August) and Tulsa Fire, Tulsa Police and the Emergency Medical Services of Arkansas (EMSA) all went out to help.

They must have been relieved to find that the man was alive and simply lying in the water with Fox reporting that he told rescuers he was 'napping'.

The crews are now warning people that the water is still 'potentially dangerous' despite looking shallow.

Tulsa Fire Department tweeted, saying: "TFD, @TulsaPolice & @EMSAOK responded to reports of 'a body in the river.' We launched a boat and discovered that the man was just laying in the water.

"The river is low, but still potentially dangerous in areas. Please stay safe and find alternate ways to stay cool!"

Despite no one being injured (or worse), people still took the time to thank the crews, with one writing: "It's GREAT to know that concerned citizens are always on the lookout for other people's life [sic].

"It's even GREATER to know that the Tulsa Fire Dept. is EXCELLENT at their job! Thank you Tulsa Fire Dept. you guys SUPER ROCK!"

Others were quick to question what's wrong with what the man did, with someone else asking: "What's wrong with laying in the river? There's nothing unusually dangerous about this. Yes, we all know rivers have currents."

It's not just humans that can cause panic when they have forty winks. Anyone remember the time Gordon Ramsay thought his can was dead while he was playing with his son?

The celebrity chef was filming his youngest child Oscar when he was forced to take a quick break to check on the wellbeing of the cat.

The noise they were making wasn't waking the kitty up and, seemingly panicked by the whole situation, he decided to go and check if the cat was OK by giving it a quick poke - thankfully, the cat was fine.

At one point, Oscar even ran into the armchair but the cat didn't move, which is unsurprising really when you live in a house with the shoutiest man on TV.
