Who hasn't dreamed of winning the lottery? All that money landing in your lap - by chance - would be a life-changing experience. It gives people the opportunity to do things that they never would have been able to afford otherwise - a real chance to set your life on a new path
However, for Amel Hamzic, it was the beginning of a very different story. He's found himself in a situation most of us are lucky enough to avoid, and has issued a desperate appeal after his dad, Fahrudin, vanished without wanting following a recent lottery win.
The young man said that his dad had been living in Norway with his partner, Ema. However, one day a cousin got in touch to pass on his condolences after learning that Fahrudin had died - information which came as news to Amel.
He claims this was the first he heard about his dad and said that nobody had notified him.
In a panic, he tried to reach Ema and although he eventually managed to contact her, she refused to answer any of his questions and since then has broken off all contact.

She has also reportedly blocked him on Facebook.
Amel said his dad had recently won €880,000 (£768,000 / $1 million) on the lottery, which has made his son very suspicious about what might have happened.
The young man, who lives in the city of Zenica in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the embassy has also been unable to help.
He said that he wasn't given details of funeral arrangements and has no idea whether his dad is indeed dead or not.

He also claims to not know what has happened to any of his dad's affairs - including a substantial property portfolio as well as the lottery win - and he doesn't know whether there was a will.
Amel also told local media that he knew his father had changed his name to Filip Antonio Vestol and that contact with him recently had become erratic.
He is appealing for anyone who knows about his father's whereabouts and who can confirm if he is indeed dead to get in touch. It is unclear whether Amel has contacted Norwegian police.
The family of Donald Savastano know all too well how tragedy can come from a lottery win after Donald died just three weeks after he hit the jackpot.
Donald won $1 million (£741,230) on the Merry Millions lottery in December last year. He was excited to pay off some debt and prepare for the future.

But he didn't tell reporters that he would also take himself to the doctor - something he couldn't afford previously because he wasn't insured. That's where he found out he had stage four cancer in the brain and lungs.
RIP Donald - hope there's better news to come for Amel and his family.
